The Grant Your Organization Needs Could Be Here

Whether your organization is new to grant seeking, or you’re a seasoned expert, it’s not always an easy task to find a grant that matches your needs. In most cases, you need to apply for multiple grants to complete part or if you’re lucky, all of your project.

However, in all my years working as a grant specialist, there is one category that I always turn to when I can’t find what I’m looking for. Nonprofits often forget, that first and foremost, they provide a service to the community. That is why I turn to the GrantWatch category ‘Community Services‘ whenever I’m feeling stuck.

Occasionally, being too specific with your grant-seeking efforts can hinder your progress. Unlike some other categories, ‘Community Services’ has a diverse range of grants. Often, you can sometimes discover funding for capital support, general operating support, and program support. In fact, many of the grants in this category are nondescript and open to interpretation. Below are 10 of my favorite grants that are currently available in this category.
